Community Services is the umbrella for SBQG’s community outreach activities, which are grouped into the following categories:
-Comfort Quilt Project -Disaster Relief & Community Assistance -Read Me a Quilt for CASA - Supporting Foster Children -Wounded Warriors Project -Department of Children and Family Services In addition, during 2020 many of SBQG’s members made face masks for family and friends, and donated hundreds of face masks to support community-wide efforts relating to COVID-19. Organizations receiving face masks included: Boys and Girls Club of the South Bay, CASA of Los Angeles, Home Instead Senior Care, Old Torrance Neighborhood Association (OTNA), Painted Turtle Camp, Torrance Memorial Hospital, Via Sorrento Assisted Living, VITAS Hospice, and many others. |
