Coordinated by Nadine Kirk
Through the Read Me a Quilt project, founded by Julie Maas, SBQG members provide quilts and related books to foster children in Los Angeles County who are clients of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). CASA’s clients include a range from very young children to those up to the age of 21.
In 2020, SBQG members donated 63 quilts and books for CASAs to provide to their clients plus 30 pillowcases. The Guild also donated 796 face masks, with the goal of providing 1,000 face masks (one for each client).
For more information from CASA on their program, please see the flyer below.
If you would like to assist with a quilt and book for a foster child, or have any questions, please email Nadinekirk@socal.rr.com or contact Nadine Kirk (call or text 310.730.3402).
