MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
November 2024: New Member Mixer
The New Member social event for new members, who joined in 2024 and late 2023, on November 2, was a big success! We enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch -- thank you to the Board members for bringing the food and to Rachelle for hosting. Attendees shared a project or two (finished or in-progress) with the group. It was entertaining to hear from the members as they described their projects. We got to know each other a little bit better and enjoyed spending time with like-minded quilters. June 2024: End of Year Party
The June meeting was the annual Potluck and quilt tying. The members brought their favorite dish to share, and the choices were all delicious! We tied quilts for the Comfort Quilt project. A gift of quilt blocks made by the members was presented to the Outgoing President. The Outgoing Board members had their photo taken and the new Board members were announced and assumed their new positions at the conclusion of the meeting. The March meeting was the Viewer’s Choice Awards. The Quilt Show Chairs handed out the awards and we had a party to celebrate the success of the Quilt Show. The December meeting was the annual Holiday Part and Quilt Tying. The catered meal was delicious thanks to the Hospitality Chair, Margaret Hurley, and the members had fun tying quilts for the Comfort Quilt Project.
