Boston Commons Tradition

Made by:  Pat Bryan
Quilted by:  Pat Bryan

Multiple generations of quilters in my family have made this traditional "Boston Commons" quilt.  The quilt is all hand stitched and hand quilted.  Even the quilting pattern stencils were passed down by my Grandmother.

Fabrics were collected over several years as leftovers from various projects.  Look closely and you'll likely recognize fabrics found in your own stash.  Thanks to a friend in my friendship group for helping to stack the squares in "random" order for piecing.  Try this pattern- it's not hard, just straight lines and it can be any size.

Width:  92                               Length:  102
Techniques Used:  Hand Pieced, Hand Quilted
