Two years in the making, the first year was spent designing, choosing, and cutting the fabrics for the signature blocks which were sent out all over the US for family and friends to write messages for Pat's quilt. Step two was to assemble and set the blocks in the best way to show photos, neighborhoods of families, friends, work associates and lifetime loved ones’ messages. Setting and borders were the last steps to be ready to present the quilt top at her surprise gathering at the Redondo Beach Bluewater Grill. The next year was spent quilting, binding and labelling for the finished family treasure.
