My most recent modern quilt was based on a picture that I saw on Facebook. I loved the simplicity of the design and thought I could duplicate it easily. I experimented with other colors, but always came back to the original color scheme. Since I only had a picture to go by, I made my own pattern based on the straight-stitching quilting pattern. It was a challenge and not as easy as I thought. The most fun was designing the back. I had extra fabric and incorporated it into an” improv” design. Love learning new skills & techniques.
