Pathways to Colorado was a long time in planning but quick to cut, sew, quilt and bind! I liked the Cranberry Chutney pattern but thought five blocks was too busy. Settling on one, I redrafted it to maximize the use of New Aged Muslin fat quarters, choosing colors that reflected Colorado. The colors move from block to block vertically and horizontally over the quilt. I finished in about 3 weeks from first cut to sewing the label, Christmas being my deadline. The hardest part of making this was washing it (oversized machine at the laundromat) before sending it to Colorado. My son loves it!
