This quilt is based on a previous quilt I made. At one point during the construction of that quilt, the background looked like a mountain lake instead of the intended marsh. After completing the marsh quilt, I returned to the design to explore how it would turn out as a mountain lake. This is the result and looks nothing like the original quilt, even though both started with the same basic line drawing.
