What a fun project to make! The sandcastle was one of my applique designs from the SBQG 2016-2017 "To the Beach" Row by Row project. The wording, which perfectly captures my feelings about the beach, was found on a coaster in a gift shop on the Redondo Beach pier. The lettering is inked. The main border prints are from the Charley Harper fabric collection by Birch fabrics. The piece is hand and machine quilted, has ink and embroidery accents, and is embellished with beads, shells and sea glass (including beads from Julie Limbach Jones and sea glass from Rain Burch, who did the Row by Row project).
