We are proud to have Ruby Tabata and Rose Omoto as our 2026 Featured Quilters. These ladies met in some of the same social circles and became friends. See their short quilting biographies introducing Ruby & Rose below. They will be in the display area during our show to visit with you and answer any questions you may have about their quilts.
Ruby Tabata
In 1979 I attended the grand opening of Piecemakers in Costa Mesa. The sample quilts, patterns, fabrics, embroidery, beads and antiques in that store blew my mind. I tried all of them, then settled down with quilting. I have accomplished many quilting techniques and enjoy seeing them completed for friends and family

Rose Omoto
I have been blessed to have quilting as my hobby. It has given me so much joy and satisfaction. Thanks to SBQG for giving me the opportunity to show my quilts for this year’s event.
