This piece is one block of a quilt that I designed for a class I taught at Luella's Quilt Basket in reverse applique by machine. The birdcage "wires" were applied during quilting. After being quilted the piece "rested" in my UFOs for a few years until I beaded it, and then for a few more until I (finally) added the butterflies in 2020.
