Pieced-Large Quilts

Back to Quilts
Pieced Large 2
2020 Warrior Quilt for the Cure -Ford Motor Co.
Exhibited by Helen Carson
Picture

Design Inspiration:  "Twist 'n Turn" by Sharyn Squier Craig.

Made by:  Helen L. Carson
Quilted by:  Hand quilted by Helen L. Carson

For the past 8 years, I have participated in the Warrior Quilt for the Cure for Ford Motor Co. Each year, the Ford coordinator sends volunteers (of which I am one of several) 100 squares that have messages written on them by those who attended the Pittsburgh Walk for the Cure or a Ford event at a local dealership. The quilter may use any pattern and provides all the fabric. One can use as many or as few of the squares provided. This quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. The quilts are displayed in cancer facilities in the Tri-State Area (PA, OH and WV). I am humbled to have this quilt on permanent display at the University of Pittsburgh Hillman Cancer Center in Shadyside (Pittsburgh suburb).

Width:  68 inches                    Length:  68 inches

Techniques Used:  Machine Pieced, Hand Quilted
