Art 4
Fantasy In Bloom
Exhibited by Marilyn Gourley

Picture

Design Inspiration:  Original design by maker

Made by:  Marilyn Gourley
Quilted by:  Marilyn Gourley

How do my neighbors create such beautiful gardens? Are they blessed with a gardening gene that I lack? Or perhaps hidden fairies tend their gardens and are responsible for the amazing display of color? The flowering garden is the primary focus of the quilt. But take a closer look and you’ll discover that the tree is home to three garden fairies whose magic is responsible for the colorful blooms.
This piece was inspired by the fairy gardens spotted at a local nursery and the anonymous quote “Garden Fairies come at dawn, bless the flowers and then they are gone.”

Width:  18 inches                    Length:  18 inches

Techniques Used:  Machine Applique
